Vest Family Reunion 2012

We enjoyed another Vest Family Reunion.  This year we went and stayed at the Silver King Lodge in Park City.  It was lots of fun.  On the weekdays we pretty much had the pool to ourselves.  We pitied the poor couple who came for an anniversary getaway.  They kept getting hit in the head with the water noodle in the hot tub.  The icing on the cake had to be when Chad threw a football from the pool balcony and it hit the ground and ricocheted to then hit the girl's head.  She was a great sport about it, but it had to hurt.

My kids love this time that they get to spend with cousins.  It is a treat that they look forward to and they bask in the memories throughout the year.  We love it!  My favorite thing is when we return home and the kids go back to school there is always some kind of journal entry they write about the events.  This is where I get to see just how much they really enjoyed their time.

On the first night we arrived we had Mock Cafe Rio made by Grandma and Grandpa and Chad and Jenn.  We all took turns making meals.  We enjoyed very yummy food.  Annette and Sara made lasagne and salad and Emily and I made honey-lime chicken enchiladas and salad.  We were well-fed.  We also enjoyed a meal at Cafe Rio together too.

We spent the second day at the Park City Mountain Resort and did all of the fun rides there all day.  The Alpine Slide, the Coaster, the Ziplines, the trampoline, rock climbing wall and all of the other fun activities at the resort.

All of the activities wore little Isaac right out.  The next day lots of us went shopping, the guys  went golfing and then we had a family baseball game.

Of course the reunion wouldn't be complete without a family picture.  This is the one with just the grandkids, but we also did one with everyone.  I sure love all of these people.  We are all so different, but it's the differences that make everything so interesting and fun.
