We were so excited to go to Priest Lake this year. Because we've lived in California for most of our post-law school time, we haven't been back to visit. Aaron is our law school days marker since he was born 2 days after law school graduation. That means it had been 6 years since we had been to the great Northwest as a family. This trip was really a treasure. Joseph's new assignment here in Utah has been pretty demanding because he is responsible for so many beds and it is the flagship facility for Utah, so there is a lot of pressure for him to do well. It was so nice to spend this time together.
It was also nice to be able to spend some time with Grandma Christian. We knew her days were numbered and we were excited to take the kids to the area. They were so small when we left the area, they have few memories of it. It was fun to refresh what small memory they did have.

This was Joseph's mom's room growing up. We always get a kick out of the bright colors. That's a patchwork velvet quilt. |
