Brynn's dance class held a cast party for the Little Princesses before the show. The girls dressed up and met at an Italian Restaurant in Davis, where one of the father's is the head chef. They enjoyed fruit and muffins, real tea and lemonade. (We stuck with the lemonade :) . I am so naive, I thought tea was for adults, Joseph explained that in England, they gave kids tea all the time...who knew? When we left, Brynn expressed some confusion as to why some of her friends who "go to church" drank the tea. She hasn't yet grasped the concept, that there are many different churches for people to attend with varying beliefs. It's an interesting balance to teach the principle of obedience, while also teaching respect for other's beliefs and not being judgemental. We had a nice chat on the way home.
After the tea party, the girls had a nice time swimming, and I had a nice time visiting with the mom's. Brynn, as usual, enjoyed posing for the camera.

I just love this!
I think tea (the kind we can drink - which is all I've had) tastes like boiled weeds. I will take lemonade any time! Oh and yum - with fresh strawberries!
I totally agree about the boiled weed thing Tifani. The first time we tasted herbal tea was with our granola friends in Tahoe, I guess if you tell yourself you're doing it for your health you can stomach it, but I don't think it's something I could make a habit of.
We decided ice tea must not taste that great either because of the amount of sugar cubes I saw each of the little girls put into their little 1/4 cup tea cups.:)
