I'm rather absentminded to begin with, but pregnancy just seems to exacerbate this trait. A couple of examples.... the other day I had to write out a few checks, one for our savings account, one for tithing and one for Joseph's sister's wedding gift. Well the first check I wrote out was to our ward for tithing, but I accidentally wrote it for the amount that was supposed to go to the savings account. I tore the check up and wrote out a check for tithing with the correct amount, and then placed it aside (or so I thought). Then I wrote the check for the savings account and for the wedding and placed them in envelopes with stamps, ready to mail. Fast forward to Sunday, I'm looking for that tithing check to send with my husband (he collects and counts the tithing at church). I couldn't find it anywhere! I thought about all the places it could have gone...maybe I placed it in one of the envelopes? Because it was Sunday I had to wait until Monday to call the credit union...I called...no check. I then asked my sister-in-law if our tithing check happened to come with the wedding contribution...again, no luck! I know I can just write a new check, but knowing me, I will find the check and pay it anyway, forgetting that it's already been taken care of...:) So, I continue to pray and look in every place possible...but I have to admit, I want to say, "Dear Heavenly Father, if you want your money, would you please tell me where it is?"

I am with you, I am losing my mind too. I'll save you a spot in the padded room next to mine.
I hope you find the check, that can be frustrating. Plus, you need the blessings.
Hey ladies, I've got a condo with lots of white padding..feel free to drop in anytime. I am constantly writing out our checks and then thinking that I took them out of the checkbook, but to find that I didn't and they are still sitting there when I go to write a new one!
being pregnant DOES make everything worse, i swear, i am not a fan of the process.
Hi Amy, I enjoying your life stories! Funny, okay so I am a grandmother now right? One day you will appreciate the pregnancy memory. The aging memory is worse and I am only 51. I hear it does not improve. As long as I remember those I cherish I am okay. I count you and your family among the cherished. Love Diane in Spokane
I DID mail it to the credit union after all! They promptly mailed it right back to me! Whew! I feel like I have atleast a small piece of my mind back!
"If you want your money..."
