A few days ago when I picked Abby up from school, I received an envelope that said, To Daddy. I put it in the car and sort of forgot about it. We found it a day or two later and Joseph opened it and read it. Abby had dictated a note for her teacher to write to her dad, this is what it read....
Dear Dad,
I wish that you could come to school. My Dad always says that my school is too late. He always has to take my sister to school because it's not too late.
I love you Daddy! Abby
Joseph has morning stand-up meeting with all his nurses, therapists and staff, so taking Abby to school is a little bit late, but he told her he would pick her up from school. She was thrilled. Her teachers said she was beaming when she saw him there to get her. Amazing that something so simple can mean so much!

I LOVE the picture of Joe opening the car door for Abby and helping her out! That is so sweet!
What a great dad! And I love that Abby wrote it in a note. What a confidence booster for her to see that her needs can be met by her parents.
I just love all of this post! Thanks, Amy!
That is so sweet. I love when kids love their dads. My kids greet Paul in the garage every time they hear him pull in.
I love to read the sweet notes your girls write. It is moments like these that remind us to pay attention to the small details. We don't always have to do grand gestures to make our kids happy.
That is so cute. Hearing things like that make my heart melt.
How cute is that? She must have wanted to show off her daddy!
