Christmas day was full of fun surprises. Since Christmas fell on Sunday this year, and we had 9:00 church, we decided to check out what Santa left in our stockings before our condensed church meeting, and then open presents after church. The kids were stoked about this idea and I think it was really fun for the anticipation to continue building throughout the morning. We are lucky to have kids that don't wake up super early on Christmas morning. I think it was 7:30 this year.
After church they quickly changed back into their pajamas and gathered round to watch each person open each gift. Christmas lasted a long time because of this, it was really fun! After we opened every gift we sat down for our brunch of quiche, english scones with devonshire cream, fresh fruit, juice and cider.
Later in the day we went to visit family members. It was a long and full day, but such a good one.
