I tried and tried to get the hair our without taking drastic measures, but in the end, I had to take the scissors to Abby's hair. She was fine with it....she wanted the train out! I felt bad about taking these measures. I told Abby we would have to cut the rest of her hair as short as the part we were cutting out of the wheels.... but in the end things didn't turn out as bad as I had expected. While I was doing her hair on Sunday morning (the day after the wreckage), I noticed that her hair looked as beautiful as ever and there was really no evidence of the accident. Whew! She learned her lesson....but Aaron did not. He put the train in her hair the very next day.....luckily, again the damage was minimal.
Before - Notice her sad expression.... and for those of you who knew us in Spokane, do you recognize the "brown crown?" She still wears it, we've just hit the two year mark. Luckily, she alternates with about 12 other "crowns." She even has a crown she wears just for bed.

Oh thank goodness it didn't ruin her beautiful hair! It has really gotten long!
I totally remember the crown! We were talking about it at Disneyland, because Rachel, Sari, and I all wore crowns while we were there. We thought of Abby. I love the way she thinks and the way her brain works! You are going to have a very interesting parenting experience with her!
Love, Tif
That is so funny! I thought her "crown" wearing was just a stage. I remember when she would ONLY wear that specific one. I am glad she alternates. I hope that you didn't have to cut any of her hair to get Thomas out. She has pretty hair Hannah said when I showed her the picture.
I couldn't help but cringe when I read your post. A train stuck in the hair is definitely worth the post. Her hair looks so beautiful now though. Your girls are so lucky to have such great thick hair. I've gotten used to my stringy, fine hair, but there was a time I hated it. I'm hoping Addi gets the Pew genes and has thick hair. Only time will tell. Thanks for sharing!
You gotta love the brown crown! Her hair is beautiful. I'm glad you didn't have to chop it after the train incident.
Aw, luckily you can't even see it! Her hair is still gorgeous. I'm chuckling that she has crowns for bedtime. :D
She does have beautiful hair. I'm glad it didn't take a huge chunk out. Those things can be dangerous. So are velcro shoes and nylons. I have had to go through church far too many times with holes in my nylons after cuddling a little one during sacrament meeting!
She has beautiful hair like her mom. I remember your hair looking just like that when you were a litle girl. I even have some pictures. Hmm, maybe I'll have to post them.
I do remember that headband! (And I'm glad she got to keep her pretty long hair.)
