Our New Family Member

In April, we added a new member to our family for 10 days.  Stephen and Emily spent some time with Stephen's family in Israel and we kept Baby Stephen here.  We had a great time, but it was hard work trying to get him used to his new temporary surroundings and family.  I spent many nights, late into the night, trying to get him to sleep.  He did great during the day, but at night he would cry and cry for his "Mommy-Daddy." Everyone grew to love him so much and we were sad when he left, but it was great for everyone to develop a relationship with him since we spent the first year and a half of his life living far away from him.

We enjoyed visiting the Tulip Festival.  We tried to do lots of fun things with Stephen to keep him entertained and from missing his Mom and Dad.

A beautiful picture of our "Spring" backyard.

He fit right in at prayer time, joining in with our family cheer.  His little "Lamby" saved us on many nights.  It was one of the things from home that gave him comfort.

I bet it was tricky! Have you continued to have a closer relationship with him since April? Does he remember the 10 days he spent with you?
