Nothing breaks the ice in the neighborhood like your son wearing a wrestling singlet from the moment he gets home from school to the time the sun sets at night. When we moved here, one of my mom's friends gave us a box full of hand-me-downs for our kids and this little gem happened to be in there. Aaron was in love at first sight and has probably worn it everyday since. The funniest part is that everyone thinks it's Joe's old uniform. I guess it's not a far cry from some of the cycling jerseys he wears. Some have told me that they would hide it, or wouldn't allow their son to wear it, but sometimes I believe in going against the grain and I always believe in letting my kids express themselves. Go ahead Aaron, express away!

I love it, I miss that kid. Tyler still asks about him.
He's a cute little wrestler.
I love watching these stages in my kids. They never last too long, so take lots of pictures. :) I've been scanning back over your recent blog posts, and (up until the snow flew) I loved how every one started out with how much you love where you live. So glad this has been such a positive change!
For what it's worth - Ben wore a wrestling singlet from the time he was 4 and started in Payson wrestling until he was almost 8. My boys still have a couple in their dress up bin. It's phase. Like Pokemon backpacks. I didn't want to do that either (Look! This LLBean one has light up wheels!) but you know, they all outgrew the character backpack phase and the Robin Hood phase and the Zorro phase and yes, the wrestling singlet phase. You are such a good mom to let him wear it! Matthew dressed as Superman almost every day for a year. Granted, he was my 6th but I knew I had arrived at True Motherhood when I let him when the whole get up to the dentist and I didn't even blink an eye.
Besides, seriously, he is adorable!
