Grandma
While Joseph and I were in San Francisco, my mom was at our home taking care of the kids and shuttling them here and there. It was hard because she had to take Brynn to so many rehearsals to prepare for her performance, but everyone survived. There was one amazing story about how hte GPS told her the wrong way to go and she got lost going to pick Brynn up. She had no idea where she was a she was really scared. I was just entering the play "West Side Story" and was about to turn my phone off for the play to start. I had a clear prompting "Call mom before you turn the phone off" I called my mom and she told me what was up. I directed her back to the studio so she could pick Brynn up, we were both grateful for that prompting, because I didn't have my phone on for the next 3 hours and the GPS had lost satellite coverage. It was a small miracle.
Mom did an excellent job with the kids, as usual. On the way to the airport for her to fly home, we stopped at La Jolla Shores and she received a phone call that her flight was delayed and then another phone call shortly after that her flight was cancelled. It was so frustrating for her because she needed to get back home, but we were secretly very happy because we got to have Grandma for one more night. She came home and made a bed on the deck and read to the kids all evening. They LOVE this woman!
