Way to Go Brynn!
After school yesterday, Brynn came to the car with an extra bounce in her step and twinkle in her eye. When I asked her how her day went, she told me it was extra special because she had won the spelling bee! Her final word that she beat everyone out with, was a word that I see many adults spell incorrectly. The word was definitely. Great job Brynn, you are d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y our favorite 2nd grade speller!

Most people defiantly spell that word wrong, and defiantly is the misspelling I most often see. Which usually makes me laugh RIGHT OUT LOUD because it changes the meaning of the sentence so much.
What a spectacular win! I still have to pause on definitely because I tend to think it should be spelled definAtely since I pronounce it a little wrong. Such a smarty!!

Hey Amy! I haven't been blogging or checking others blogs until recently and had no idea you guys had moved. What an adventure and beautiful view you have! We are coming down to San Diego in July for a vacation and would love to see you guys. :)
Nice! I am one of those adults who has misspelled that word. Spelling is so important, I actually get really annoyed with misspellings. Way to go Brynn!!!
