A few weeks ago, the older three kids were laying on the sofas watching a movie. Isaac wanted to be like all the other lazy-bum-couch-potatoes.....this is how I found him when I walked in the room. He didn't last long though.
Joe's activity director made us a homemade banana cream pie. Isaac thought it was heaven. He already loves bananas, so add a little whip cream and as you can see, it was pure bliss for him.

He is so darling! I think he looks like the Vest Family.
As I was looking through your pictures I noticed your cute baskets under your t.v. Great idea! I love organization!
He's darn, darn cute. And yes, that's the way of a fourth child, and it keeps on going. By the time Macklin was potty trained we seriously could have (didn't, but could have) left him alone for a weekend and he could have fended for himself. He knew where all the food was, how to find, shake up, and open soymilk, how to get into the highest cupboards and find treats, how to get any toy (or non-toy) anywhere, etc. Who needs parents when you've got older siblings to teach you everything?
Gosh he is getting so big. What a cutie!
I am so glad you have this blog. I would feel too far from you if it were not here, even when I spend so little time at the computer. Life uses me up each day, and I ask myself, "but what about....?" I am very grateful for technology used in this way. I can't imagine not being able to connect or not knowing what is happening in my children's lives as it was for the pioneers. We are so blessed. Thank you for sharing. I love you so much. I am grateful for family connections and bonding and traditions. These are all important anchors to our children.
Hey, Abe took a photo of the kids and I at his birthday outing. I put it on my profile, did it come through on this comment? Oh, Shawny is going high tech!
Oh Amy! He is a delight!
I had to laugh about him getting his own food, because my Joseph (#5) was totally self sufficient at that. We couldn't believe it when he made his own microwave popcorn (without burning anything, I might add) before he was two.
It does become a survival of the fittest, I hate to admit!
