We are happy, healthy and doing well. My grandfather passed away unexpectedly a few days after Isaac was born. After much deliberation, I decided to fly to Utah for the funeral. So in true tradition for our family, Isaac was on his first plane ride at 9 days old. Those few days made all the difference. It was much easier this time around than it was with my 4 and 5 day old babies. I held him close and kept him covered and we managed to get by. I still have to laugh at how excited I was to NOT have to travel anywhere immediately after giving birth, but life happens, and you have to roll with the punches.I have lots of pictures to post, memories to record, and journaling to do about the big life events of the last 12 days, but first of all a new little guy to take care of.....I'll be back.

What an adorable little guy. And I am always so jealous of how quickly you get that flat tummy back! It's just not fair. You look amazing. I'm so sorry to hear about your grandpa, but I'm glad you were able to make it to his funeral.
I am glad you made it to the funeral. I have been thinking about you and your family all week. I have such great memories of Grandpa Vest and he will truly be missed. On a happier note, you look amazing! I hope I bounce back that quickly, but I think I'm dreaming. We love you and sure miss you and your family!
