Congratulations Gabe!

Joseph's brother Gabe tried out for the BYU Young Ambassadors a few weeks ago and we learned last week that he made it! We are very excited for Gabe and all the wonderful experiences he has ahead!

While I was in Utah for Emily's graduation, I went with Mom and Emily to Promenade for Mom to see some of the Young Women she used to teach, we caught peek of Gabe and his date and I snapped a picture for Joseph to see how handsome his little brother looked.

I was impressed with all of the modest prom dresses we saw! I saw living proof that they can be found, and I was also amazed at how many! I don't think we noticed any repeats and the majority of the dresses were very modest, you don't see that very often! I'm sure they probably cost more than my wedding dress, but we'll start saving, or sewing...it's worth it! A very refreshing sight to see.

Yeah ... Prom dresses.

We are in the middle of that right now. Ugh.

I am scared to death to buy one on line (what if it doesn't fit? and a lot of the sites say shipping is a couple of weeks and usually you don't have that much time before the dance) and most of the modest ones are several hundred dollars - which is JUST crazy! My friends in Utah all have daughters who borrow but as you may remember in our ward - not a lot of options for Rachel (ok, none).

Good thing Rachel is short, she wears ballet flats and I can cut off the bottom and use that to make the sleeves, which is what I am doing this time, not sewing it. Too busy.

Love your posts!

My brother Lane has been in the BYU Young Ambassadors for the past three years. He's in Australia right now with them. It has been an amazing experience for him. Joe's brother will love it! What a huge accomplishment.

I sure wish they would have had as much to choose from when we were in high school. It amazes me how many modest dresses are out there. I'm so glad. What fun we have to look forward to!!

Congrats! Clark's cousin has been involved with Young Ambassadors, Courtney Pew, but I'm not sure she'll be doing it again next year. It's a lot of hard work.

Hilarity—I live 40 miles away and I didn't know about Gabe! It's a good thing I read your blog. ;D
