Mom - I wasn't able to get the movies of the girls singing downloaded, I'll do that tomorrow if I have time. We just arrived home from the park and I was able to put these on while I made dinner. I'll get those pictures ready and send them to you tonight. If you can think of any you had in mind call and let me know.
The week of Halloween Brynn was off track for school. We were excited and had lots of fun planned...then everyone kept getting sick! Brynn was sick on Halloween day and she was the last one to get through the yuckiness so when Thursday rolled around we were ready to get out! We headed to the zoo in Sacramento and had a great time!
The zoo train was really funny. It was really cute, but so small! They charge twice what the Hogle Zoo charges for their much bigger train. Oh yea...I forgot...this is California, the only thing I've found here cheaper than other places are bananas. Don't ask me why, but they are.
Abby labored a little too hard for this one...don't you think?
Quite the wingspan, Miss Brynn!
Aaron didn't last long in the stroller, luckily it was the day after Halloween and the big Boo at the Zoo event, so they weren't very busy. I let him roam around on his own and he LOVED it!
It was so funny to see the intensity in Aaron's face as he tried to manuever this big rig. It was pretty cute!
Meet Charlotte!
Meet Kanga and Roo!....Everybody move like Kanga and Roo, wherever you're going, go hop, hop, hop!
The girls favorite animal, the Anteater. This thing eats 30,000 ants a day, wouldn't that be nice to have around!
Aaron trying to go down the world's slowest slide and my favorite animal was the White-Handed Gibbons...watch the way this monkey swings, wish I could move like that!

Looks like a fun day. I love zoo days... we had passes to the Hogle zoo when we lived in SLC. Miss that!
Looks like you caught that monkey at a really great time. It is fun to hear you share excitement with your kids!
What a fun day at the zoo! I am glad you are all feeling well again.
What a fun day at the zoo. I love taking my kids there, sadly the Louisville zoo is an hour and a half drive, so we go when we can. Yours looked amazing and the weather looked perfect. Great memories!
How fun. I had no idea that Sacramento had a zoo. Would it be worth it to us for the 2 hour drive over? I didn't know you were on year round school. What do you think? We are going to MTYR in June.
Looks like we had the same idea. It's too bad we don't live closer so we could go together. I'm glad you all had fun!
I LOVE the gibbons.. they are always my favorite. We went to the LA zoo a few months ago and the gibbons were total show offs. I love it. Sounds like the kids had lots of fun!
That slide, if infact it is fit to be called a slide, is incredible! Maybe it just needs a little water. :)
i am laughing out loud at that slide video. i especially love the kid that keeps trying to walk down but can't because aaron is totally stopped in the middle. that just strikes me as soooo funny. and i loved the monkey too! great action shot!
Thanks for all the fun comments everyone.
Kristina, it's a beautfiful zoo, but a small one. Fairy Tale town is across the street and if you combined to two it would be more worth it. So I wouldn't drive the 2 hours just for the zoo. They don't have elephants, and rhinos and and hbig animals like that. On the news they talked about an elephant being shipped to a zoo somewhere in CA that day and it took all day to explain to Abby that it wasn't our zoo. They do have giraffes but I think that was the largest animal.
Brynn is on modified year round, is that what MTYR is? We don't mind it. The only thing that I don't like is that they start after the first week in Aug. and they end the first week in June, so it's a slightly shorter summer. They had the week off of Halloween and then they have a month off for Christmas and then a few weeks in the spring. Someone said it was to accomodate all of the people who go to Mexico in December...? I don't know how much truth there is to that, though. Is Hannah's a modified version or a regular version of year round.
