Abby is constantly telling us her theories about many things in life. Well here is her latest theory. Today she had a rough sort of day. She has been suffering from a little head cold, lack of sleep, and poor decisions that resulted in some self-defense socked to her by her older sister. Anyway, I was holding her on the couch while she wailed....and wail, she does. The tears stopped and she looked at me and said, "Mom, I know where babies start before they get into your tummy....." "Hmmmm? Do you?" I asked. She then took her finger and touched my forehead. "First the baby starts really small in your forehead and then it moves to your nose, and then it moves to your chin, and then down your neck (all the while her finger is tapping each part on the way down)......then it goes deep into your tummy and it grows bigger and bigger.....I just figured it out mom." And she was off to play. It was pretty funny! I guess she's right in a way, we have always put a great deal of thought into when each child will come. So I guess you could say it starts in your forehead. Oh....and FYI there is no baby in my forehead right now.

I've heard people ramble about the lack of deep thought toddlers are capable of. Phooey!
I love it. This one has got to me one of my favorites.(also due to the fact of her jumping up to play after having such a tramatic event before hand)I was thinking about you guys the other day. Remembering how great those pancakes were we had when you guys came over to watch conference.I would love that receipe!
Your Abby and my Eliza would be great pals!!
;)not any in your forehead, but you did forget to mention any in your tummy?! I love hearing the things that kids come up with...it's amazing that they can put the kinds of deep thoughts together that they do...and how does the thought enter their mind anyhow-it's usually really random.
It is random....and no, there is no baby in any part of my body right now.
Any bulges that would have inspired such a comment are the result of too many oatmeal chocolate chip cookies on Sunday. :o)
So fun to get a glimpse into a child's head once and awhile. So imaginitive and innocent. Beautiful thing to write down so you'll never forget!
