All is well, all is well.....

I love this picture because it is an example to me of how Heavenly Father watches out for us and keeps promises to us.  The Quail Fire burned and burned and burned and we were really worried about the warm weather, the wind and the lack of moisture we were receiving.  Then came the rain.  We took this beautiful photo of a double rainbow to help remind us that God is mindful of us and that he hears and answers prayers.

The Quail Fire

The first week in July we were at swimming lessons in Spanish Fork.  After swimming lessons we went to the Spanish Fork Pool.  On our way home, I received a text from my sister Emily who was at the Covey family cabin in Hebgen, Montana.  One of Stephen's uncles and aunts lives in Alpine and had heard about the fire while they were all at the cabin.  I could see the smoke from Spanish Fork while driving home from the pool.  The smoke cloud was so big.  When we arrived home it was amazing to see how much it had spread across the mountain.  They had to close down American Fork Canyon for fear that the fire might spread over the mountain and trap people in the canyon.  It was pretty crazy to see the area after it all happened.

This was a picture of the fire from our bedroom window.  We were never in danger of fire damage, but when we woke up the morning after, we could smell smoke throughout our house.  It took a few days to get everything under control, but it when we drove to the area and looked at the damage, it was interesting to know that no homes were lost in the fire.  I know the firefighters worked very hard to take every measure necessary to make sure no homes were lost.
